The CAIST American K–12 Program

CAIST offers a comprehensive American K–12 education for students beginning at age 2, from Pre-Kindergarten through High School. Delivered in partnership with Forest Trail Academy (FTA) of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Ages 2 – Grade 5

Pre-Kindergarten through Elementary

Core instruction in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, building the essential foundations of literacy and numeracy.

Grades 6 – 8

Middle School

Continuation of core academics with expanded critical thinking and interdisciplinary projects that prepare students for advanced study.

Grades 9 – 12

High School

Advanced academics aligned with U.S. Common Core State Standards, with electives in business, entrepreneurship, and college/career readiness.

After-School Initiative

CAIST Bridge Enrichment Program

To prepare students for a technology-driven 21st century, CAIST offers the Bridge Enrichment Program — an after-school initiative for students aged 6 to 17 who are not enrolled in the full American K–12 program.

The Bridge Program combines mandatory English language instruction with hands-on, project-based learning in science and technology.

Everything families ask us most often about admissions, tuition, programmes and English support at CAIST.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, annual tuition is 2,000,000 XAF for Pre-Kindergarten (ages 2–5), 2,500,000 XAF for Elementary (K–Grade 5), 3,000,000 XAF for Middle School (Grades 6–8) and 4,000,000 XAF for High School (Grades 9–12). A 250,000 XAF application fee and 8,000 XAF annual insurance apply. Tuition is payable in two instalments, in August and January.

Applications for the 2026–2027 year open on 15 June 2026. You can apply online through our admissions form or download the registration form as a PDF. You receive an acknowledgement within 24 hours, our academic committee then reviews your documents, an interview is arranged with the student and family, and the decision is notified within 7 to 10 business days.

Yes. Our American K–12 programme is delivered in partnership with Forest Trail Academy of West Palm Beach, Florida, and is fully accredited through NCPSA, Cognia (NCACASI), SACS-CASI, MSA-CESS, the Northwest Accreditation Commission and Accreditation International.

From age 2. The American K–12 programme runs from Pre-Kindergarten through High School. The Bridge Enrichment Programme is open to students aged 6 to 17 who are not enrolled full time.

No. Supplemental English training is provided at no additional cost to every enrolled Francophone student, as part of our after-school programme throughout the academic year. Deeper, structured instruction is also available through the American Language Academy.

It is an after-school programme for students aged 6 to 17 who are not enrolled in the full American K–12 programme. It combines mandatory English instruction with hands-on science and technology — robotics, coding and applied AI — over 110 hours a year, on weekday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and on Saturday mornings. Full enrichment costs 150,000 XAF per month; optional courses are 25,000 XAF per course.

A birth certificate or passport, a recent photograph, transcripts from the last two academic years including the grading scale, and an up-to-date vaccination record. A psycho-pedagogical or medical report is needed only if applicable. All documents can be uploaded directly with the online application.
